In this beginner course you will learn a variety of stretches, conditioning exercises and entries into the basic handstand. Christopher approaches the handstand with the idea that anyone can learn to stand on their hands, just as we learned to stand on our feet as babies. We have a little more experience with the concept of balance, and we know things can be achieved through practice, so in some ways we are better equipped this time around. The goal is to understand how to activate the muscles needed to balance yourself upside down and to discover what flexibility may be required to help you on your exploration of the handstand.
